ABSTRACT
Beauty way in History, Art and Theology. This article concerns new epiphanies of beauty through creative work of artists that may offer these as gifts to the world. In a certain sense, beauty is the visible form of the good, just as good is the metaphysical condition of beauty. This was well understood by the Greeks who, by fusing the two concepts, coined a term which embraces both: kalokagathía, or “beauty-goodness”. It is in living and acting that man establishes his relationship with being, with the truth and with the good. The author affirms that Jesus Christ is incarnation of divine art and that the Gospel of John is the starting point to think of “theology of beauty”. The thesis is this: beauty way is a link to join ethic and metaphysic in the history of every society in the world. Society needs artists, just as it needs scientists, technicians, workers, professional people, witnesses of faith, teachers, who ensure the growth of a person and the development of the community by means of that supreme art which is “the art of education”.
