ABSTRACT – The ministry of reconciliation in 2 Co 5,20b. The reconciliation to God

is the main purpose of the ExtraordinaryJubilee of Mercy, that was indicted by pope

Francis. At first in this article the author examines the concept and the vocabulary of reconciliation

in Old and New Testament; then he annotates a famous passage of the Second

Letter to the Corinthians, where the apostle Paul explains that «he made the sinless

one a victim for sin, so that in him we might become the uprightness of God» (2 Co 5,21).

The cross of Christ is the means of reconciliation to God and Paul with his collaborators

are the ambassadors of this beautiful information. In our times the priests are the ambassadors

of reconciliation. Their office will be the more effective as they will be reconciled

to God.
